Attorney Corey Chirafisi and Attorney Timothy Verhoff are both former prosecutors. As such, they have a unique perspective into how the other side thinks about prosecuting cases. Attorney Chirafisi served as an Assistant District Attorney in Kenosha County before entering private practice. Attorney Verhoff served as the Deputy District Attorney in Dane County, essentially second in command, for a decade before becoming partners with Attorney Chirafisi. Their experience in prosecuting a wide variety of crimes, including OWI offenses, brings a unique perspective that benefits all of our clients. Attorney Verhoff began his legal career as an assistant district attorney for Dane County. In short order, he graduated from trying misdemeanor and OWI cases to trying very complex murder, sexual assault, child abuse, and felony assault cases. Attorney Verhoff was appointed Deputy District Attorney and held that position for nearly a decade.
Attorney Verhoff’s skills are recognized by his peers in the legal community. He is regularly named as one of Dane County’s top lawyers by Madison Magazine and was voted by his peers as a Super Lawyer in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
He has been noted as a BV-Distinguished lawyer by the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review system. And in 2007, Attorney Verhoff was recognized by the Wisconsin District Attorney’s Association as Wisconsin’s Deputy District Attorney of the Year. In 2018 Attorney Verhoff was voted onto the Top 25 Madison Super Lawyers list.
